I love to ski. Living in Hampton Roads Virginia doesn't present me with many oportunities for good skiing. Day trips to Massanutten are easy but don't satisfy. Snowshoe, WV is better but is over 5 hours drive and getting expensive in recent years.
To get in some good skiing requires travel. Almost every year I take a ski vacation with friends. We fly somewhere with real mountains and ski for a week. We've gone to Europe a few times and many places out west. I'm starting this page in 2005 so only this year's trip is listed here.
Jackson Hole, WY
In January 2005 we went to Jackson Hole. We've all heard about the deep powder and very steep slopes. Well, we can now verify that the slopes are steep. Unfortunately a warm spell just before we got there ruined the deep powder. It was still good skiing but not the powder for which this resort is famous.
